The Croatian Society for Roads and Railways – Via Vita is pleased to announce its 13th Congress, which will take place from 8 to 10 November 2026 at Hotel Lone in Rovinj, Croatia.

For many years, the Congress has been one of the most important professional gatherings of the transport infrastructure sector in the Republic of Croatia. It brings together decision-makers, representatives of government institutions, investors, designers, contractors, academia, and industry to discuss the key challenges and future development of transport infrastructure.

This year's programme is particularly significant as it is being organised in partnership with PIARC – the World Road Association. In addition to the national Congress programme, it will feature an international professional workshop dedicated to the resilience of transport infrastructure, climate change adaptation, and risk management.

Participants can expect expert presentations, panel discussions, showcases of major infrastructure projects, examples of best practices from Croatia and abroad, and opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience on the challenges shaping the future of road and railway infrastructure.

Special emphasis will be placed on sustainability, digital transformation, road safety, infrastructure management, the resilience of transport networks to climate change, financing of major infrastructure projects, and the application of new technologies in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of transport infrastructure.

Once again, the Congress will bring together leading Croatian and international experts, reaffirming its role as a central platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and innovative ideas that contribute to the future development of transport systems.
